The danger of having too many online part time jobs

It’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to make as much money as possible, but having too many online part time jobs could actually limit your income potential. Spreading your limited time over too many projects can only result in mediocre results – trust me, I’ve learned that the hard way. Why not spend all of your available time and energy on the one or two projects that are the most promising? The quality of your work will be greatly improved, which your customers will definitely take notice of. Easier said than done, I know, but it’s really the only way to go if you want to go “big”.

Here are a few questions you can ask yourself to help you figure out which of your online jobs are not worth keeping:

Am I having fun?

This is really important. No job (part time or otherwise) is worth working if it makes you miserable to the core. Getting paid well for it helps, but that only lasts for so long. Life is short, and you’ll be much happier working online part time jobs that you truly have a passion for.

Am I making enough money to offset the stress?

If your online part time job is causing you stress and is struggling to turn a profit month over month, it’s not work keeping. Never mind that you may have a deeply vested interest in making it work. It’s simply not worth it! You may have heard the term “work smarter, not harder” and it was most certainly written for situations such as this.

Can I generate more income if I focus on only one part time online job at a time?

If you are trying to run several part time businesses at once with mediocre results, take a giant step back and take stock of what you’re trying to do. Is there one project or business that could potentially generate more income than all of them combined if you had more time to work on it? If so, that’s what you need to do. Remember: quality over quantity!

Staying focused on your online part time jobs that generate the most income is crucial for your success. Eliminate the jobs that are causing stress and not generating enough income to offset that. Remember – working from home part time is supposed to be fun and profitable, and not a massive chore.
