If I want to quit my job and become self employed, I need to be more organized

As you saw from all my posts last week, I’m totally committed to getting the heck out of the corporate world and into a life of being self employed and financially independent. I tend to overdo things however, and by the end of the week I was feeling burned out like I never have before – mainly because of my lack of planning. I was determined to get ALL my websites profitable and working for me, but I’ve come to the realization that there just aren’t enough hours in the day to do it all and the only thing I was doing was stressing myself out.

I’ve had some time to think about it over the weekend, and I’ve come up with a more efficient plan to get me out of the corporate world and into self employment and financial independence:

  • Swing trading is my primary objective – all of my other projects are less important than this
  • Instead of trying to develop and monetize all my websites, I am going to refocus my energy to one: my stock photo site.  This is my oldest and most profitable website at the moment, and I’ve been neglecting it badly over the past year or so. I believe I can increase profits dramatically if I spend the time to do it.
  • All of my other websites are lower priority, and have been reduced to “hobby” status. I will only develop content for those if I am bored and feel like working on something else other than my main website.

I fully believe that there is no point in working myself to death just to become self employed and financially independent. Work smarter, not harder!
